Antonia Munroe
Antonia Munroe is foremost a painter, with an enduring love of textiles. In a small village on the coast of Maine, Antonia designs original stencils which are printed in her studio by hand on linen, cotton, silk, and wool. She mixes natural dyes to achieve subtle variations in muted colors or fiber reactive dyes which yield intense brilliant colors.
Antonia’s collection of limited edition textiles is informed by extensive travel, research and study of historical methods and materials, primarily in India but also influenced by the study of European and Japanese textile traditions. A distinct lyrical aesthetic and love of detail permeate all Antonia Textile designs.

Emily is invaluable to Antonia Textiles! From sewing the goods to printing and dyeing she brings her beautiful smile and innate talent to the myriad tasks in the studio.
Born and raised in Maine, she fully embraces this beautiful place and loves planning adventures on land and sea. She is also a world traveler and was last seen strolling down a street in Southern Italy. She lives in a sweet little house in Rockland with a big garden where she grows indigo plants from seed!
Jane Kurko
Studio Manager
As our studio manager from the very beginning, Jane brings a fluent knowledge of website design, inventory management and a much appreciated sense of humor as we navigate the many dimensions of creating our business. In her spare time, Jane collects vinyl records, perfects her cooking skills, or she is outdoors with her camera, capturing the beauty of the Maine landscape.
